Nestled in the beautiful Pacific Northwest between Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean, Travel Inn Resort offers you an array of outdoor recreation for the whole family. Salmon, tuna, steelhead, and trout are abundant in the saltwater and freshwater rivers and streams. The nearby mountains are great for hiking, and the surrounding wooded area affords an opportunity to see game birds, deer, and elk. The day you choose to go to the ocean beaches, stop along the way at Montesano, the birthplace of commercial forestry’s tree-farm industry. Near Montesano you can see the following: the 200,000 Clemons Tree Farm, Lake Sylvia State Park (home of the county’s first sawmill and a working forest), exhibits depicting the history of the forest product industry at the Chehalis Valley Historical Museum (open weekend afternoons), and indoor murals of the area’s history at the Grays Harbor County Court House.
