"We loved our stay. They have spots that are long enough for the biggest rigs, and wide enough for slides. The spaces between the spots are well treed. Bath houses are clean. The owners are delightful and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The laundry is clean with $3 wash and $2 dry. The dryers run for a good long time. There is an outdoor museum between the Bath House/Laundry and Office that is fun to wander through. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Fifth Wheel." Guest Review

Alaska’s Sourdough Campground built a reputation with flying food

Too many pancakes was the genesis of a long standing activity at Sourdough Campground RV Park in the eastern town of Tok, Alaska.  The sourdough pancakes stay semi-firm and fly somewhat like Frisbee's. Since then, flinging pancakes has become a time honored tradition at the campground following dinner. Tim, one of the owners as well as the cook, will entertain guests with his since of humor, and for the campers who want to try their hand at tossing pancakes, they are given 2 chances to toss a pancake into a bucket, each winner receives a free breakfast the next morning.

Each evening the Sourdough Campground RV Park hosts a community campfire with free marshmallows for roasting . “This gets people out of their RVs, trailers or tents,  to socialize. It’s amazing to see people actually wander around visiting, so many times they just sit in their RVs

Amenities include a wonderful cafe, a gift shop, laundry, an RV/car wash, showers, clean restrooms, FREE WIFI access. Besides the famous Pancake Toss and the campfire marshmallow roast, there could be fellow guests having a jam session on stage or by the fire!

Across the street you will find a 7 mile paved bike/walk/run path.  Hike the unpaved 5 mile trail from the campground that will lead you to the foot of  “7 Mile Hill”, a popular & beautiful hike to the top where you will look down upon the town of Tok & surrounding ponds, lakes & beautiful scenery. We can even give you a tip on where the moose seem to hang out!
